Jim Sterne was in town and a number of weeks ago he contact myself and Neil Mason (International Director of the WAA) saying that he was going to be in town and could we organise an event.  With my WAA hat on I found a fantastic venue and then who did we invite.

We had delegates from a wide variety of companies - JP Morgan, Marks and Spencer, Chinwag, BT, AOL (had a huge delegation), London School of Economics, Boden, Applied Insights, RBI, Royal Bank of Scotland, Sun Microsystems, The Guardian newspaper and many more.

I was certainly impressed by the fantastic turn out and those that know me I'm always keen to share a beer with analysts, consultants and internet marketeers.  Heard some fantastic stories of how people are using their tools to segment their visitors in order to determine real customer behaviour and target them as individuals rather than being reliant on mass marketing.

Jim gave a great hour long speech about new theories that came out of Washington DC and Stockholm's eMetrics.
